Make it 14 blowout wins for the Valley Christian Trojans this season. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 73-36 victory over Scottsdale Christian Academy. Winning may never get old, but Valley Christian sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Luke Shaw was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Carson Grier was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Valley Christian pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.5 points. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. One thing working in Gilbert Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Bourgade Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
