The Lamar Warriors lost against the Ozark Hillbillies back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Lamar fell just short of Ozark by a score of 39-36. Lamar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Lamar saw an underclassman step up: Kendrick Carr scored 8 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Green, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
Lamar has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Ozark, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar will take on Perryville at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Perryville is ranked 163rd, while Lamar is ranked 164th). As for Ozark, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Van Buren at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Van Buren knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Ozark likes a good challenge.
