David Ortez gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in February on Friday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Ortez and West Park will take on Madera in a tournament on Monday. Thanks in part to Ortez's efforts, the Panthers will roll in on an eight-game winning streak.
