Baseball Recap: Douglas' Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Douglas's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Blackstone-Millville Chargers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on April 2nd.

Douglas' win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin Albert, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Douglas' victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Blackstone-Millville, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Douglas will square off against Assabet Valley RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aztecs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.27 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will take on Bartlett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
