The Garfield Community Learning Center Golden Rams''s eight-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They strolled past North with points to spare, taking the game 31-14. Garfield Community Learning Center's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
When it comes to explaining why North lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marvin Causey jr. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards on only eight carries, and also picked up 96 receiving yards. Causey jr was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Even if they lost, North's defense still kept up the pressure with 7.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Tyreon (t.y) jones and Bernard Zaiyear jackson lll who racked up six sacks between them.
Garfield Community Learning Center's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for North, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9.
Garfield Community Learning Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North is also done with their season.
