DeSales is 7-1 against Asotin since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Irish will take on the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (DeSales has 11 straight victories, Asotin has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, DeSales got the win against Warden by a conclusive 15-5. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

Caroline Kutsch made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, DeSales got a massive performance out of Theresa Holtzinger, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Holtzinger has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Madison Ortuno was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
DeSales kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Asotin couldn't beat Colfax on Saturday even though they stacked six runs on them in the third inning. The Panthers lost 18-8 to the Bulldogs.
Elizabeth Alicea made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
DeSales pushed their record up to 15-1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Asotin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
Asotin's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: DeSales has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Asotin, though, as they've been averaging 12.6 hits. Given DeSales' sizable advantage in that area, the Panthers will need to find a way to close that gap.
DeSales took their win against Asotin when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Irish since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
