After both having extra time off, the Pensacola Tigers and the Wakulla War Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Pensacola heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bay by a score of 3-2. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Pensacola sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 22-25, 15-13.

Despite the defeat, Pensacola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ezra Reichwage had 19 digs. Those 19 digs set a new season-high mark for Reichwage. Sydney Williams also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Meanwhile, Wakulla earned a 3-1 win over Suwannee on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.
The final score came out to 25-19, 20-25, 28-26, 25-16.
Pensacola better focus on containing Sophia Stolk and Leila Parsons as the pair were huge in Wakulla's win. Stolk had six digs and five aces, while Parsons had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Parsons a new career-high.
Wakulla was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.
Pensacola's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Wakulla, their record now sits at 18-6.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's matchup: Pensacola has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.4 aces per game.
