The Lee's Summit Tigers gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They walked away with a 46-37 victory over Notre Dame de Sion. This was payback for Lee's Summit, who suffered a 57-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Notre Dame de Sion still got an impressive performance from Terryn Ford, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Wendte, who scored 5 points.
Lee's Summit's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Notre Dame de Sion, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Lee's Summit will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Blue Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th. As for Notre Dame de Sion, they will be playing at home against St. Michael the Archangel at 7:30 p.m. on November 29th.
