After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Lee, Ridgefield Park was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Saddle Brook Falcons as they made off with an 11-4 victory. The Scarlets not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2nd (when they won 15-3).
Ryan Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, J D Fucci looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
