After soaring high against Chatham last Friday, Icarus fell to the ground on Thursday. Buckingham came up short against Amelia County, falling 15-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Buckingham of the 14-28 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head.
The loss dropped Buckingham back to even at 2-2. The win bumped Amelia County's record up to 3-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Buckingham take on Lunenburg Central at 7:00 PM. Amelia County will look to defend their home turf against Cumberland at 7:00 PM.
