The Cascade Cadets waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They snuck past Bethesda Christian with a 48-42 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cascade also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Cascade's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Smith, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Hall, who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Bethesda Christian still got an impressive performance from Kenzie Fulks, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Fulks has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayla Ferguson, who scored six points along with four blocks.
Bethesda Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Cascade pulled down 12 offensive rebounds.
Cascade's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10. As for Bethesda Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will take on Speedway at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Speedway is ranked 166th, while Cascade is ranked 160th). As for Bethesda Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
