Baseball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Takes a Loss

Newport - Bellevue lost against Skyline back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Newport - Bellevue fell 4-1 to Skyline. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Newport - Bellevue got a good showing from Brooks Kapfhammer, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kapfhammer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Newport - Bellevue's loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Skyline, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue will venture away from home to challenge Issaquah at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Skyline, they will head out to face off against Bothell at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
