Despite the loss, Douglas County had strong showings from Addi Bradford, who had 15 digs and two aces, and Reese Millar, who had 12 digs and ten kills. Millar is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Mountain Vista didn't have quite enough to beat Chaparral last Monday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost five in a row.
Mountain Vista wouldn't go down easily and took Chaparral into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-13, 27-29, 25-20, 15-7.
