Ramona is 2-7 against Norte Vista since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ramona Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Norte Vista Braves at 7:00 p.m. Ramona will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 416th, while Norte Vista is ranked 123rd).
Last Thursday, Ramona got themselves on the board against Arlington, but Arlington never followed suit. They blew past the Lions, posting a 37-0 win at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ramona.
Meanwhile, Norte Vista had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.6 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They snuck past Patriot with a 28-24 victory.
Norte Vista found their leader in underclassman Dreaddie Allain, who rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns.
Ramona now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Norte Vista, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1.
Ramona strolled past Norte Vista in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a score of 40-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ramona since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
