 Vermilion is hoping to do what Huron couldn't  on Monday: put an end to Norwalk's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Norwalk's defense stepped up to hand Huron  a   4-0 shutout. Give the Truckers' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
 They hit Huron with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Elliot Gahring (2), 
 Ben Snyder,  and  Snyder.
 Meanwhile, Vermilion got the win against Willard  on Monday by a conclusive  5-0. Given the Sailors' advantage  in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings  (they are ranked 240th, while the Crimson Flashes are ranked 482nd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Norwalk has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record  this season. As for Vermilion, their win bumped their record up to 7-4-2.
