The Independence Home School Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Guadalupe Centers 79-39 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Independence Home School sure is getting used to it with their 13th in a row.
Isaac Daniels was a one-man wrecking crew for Independence Home School as he scored 33 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Daniels has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Philip Cresswell, who scored 11 points.
Several Aztecs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luis Popoca, who scored eight points along with eight assists and three steals. It was the first time this season that Popoca posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Mario Carbajal Valesques, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Independence Home School's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Guadalupe Centers, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Independence Home School will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri at 5:00 p.m. As for Guadalupe Centers, they will head out on the road to square off against The Daniel Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
