The Hillsboro Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Smoky Valley by a score of 65-55. The win was familiar territory for Hillsboro who now have three in a row.
Smoky Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ki Blanchat, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Taylor Campbell was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Hillsboro has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Smoky Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will take on Minneapolis at TBD on Friday. As for Smoky Valley, they will be playing at home against Clay Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clay Center presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Smoky Valley in Kansas (Clay Center is ranked 99th, while Smoky Valley is ranked 227th).
