The Desert Christian Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Christian's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Sequoia Pathway Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Last Saturday, Desert Christian strolled past San Manuel with points to spare, taking the game 49-30. The win was just what Desert Christian needed coming off of a 47-16 loss in their prior game.
Anika Mulkey was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Jones, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Sequoia Pathway Academy ended up a good deal behind Tempe Prep on Friday and lost 56-39.
Desert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Sequoia Pathway Academy, their loss was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8.
Everything came up roses for Desert Christian against Sequoia Pathway Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 45-7 victory.
