Neville extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week by beating Bastrop, 43-23. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Wossman took down Delhi 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
John Diarse and John Diarse gave Neville a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Diarse threw for 108 yards and one touchdown, while Diarse ran for 158 yards. Salarrious Jones also contributed to the rushing game with 96 yards on the ground.
Jatavious Wilson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Rams lost to Mickey Mccarty's team. Wilson tallied six receptions for 64 yards. Jamari Payne helped Bastrop's passing attack out by catching four balls for 57 yards.
Bastrop's Jaetarious Davis and Wilson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Davis has thrown for 1351 yards this season, while Wilson, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 40 catches for 719 yards. Diarse from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 528 yards.
A big matchup in 4A District 2 this week will be when the Wildcats take on Franklin Parish. Wossman is currently in fourth, while the Patriots are in second.
Dale Zimmerman's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Bears.
