The Bristol Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the MAST Community Charter Panthers at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Bristol's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so MAST Community Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Bristol took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Renaissance Academy as they made off with a 16-0 victory. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Eddy Diaz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cole Guy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Bristol is undefeated when Guy posts two or more runs, but 0-3 otherwise. Trae Anthony also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.
Bristol was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .609. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, MAST Community Charter posted their closest win since May 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Collegium Charter 7-5. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cougar recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Nicholas Carsley was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Carsley was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and three stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mason Haldeman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. David Kondravy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Bristol has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for MAST Community Charter, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bristol has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .520. However, it's not like MAST Community Charter struggles in that department as they've averaged .467. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bristol came out on top in a nail-biter against MAST Community Charter when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
