The Twin Springs Titans were the 42-40 winner over the Lee Generals when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Twin Springs fell 49-39 to Lee on Friday. Twin Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kinley Huff, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Huff scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Phalicity Pennington, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Twin Springs now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lee, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Twin Springs will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Jenkins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jenkins is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Lee will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Central Wise at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Central Wise presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lee in Virginia (Central Wise is ranked 35th, while Lee is ranked 294th).
