Softball Recap: Northview Wins Going Away Against Swanton

Northview had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 11-6-1 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Swanton Bulldogs 13-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

As for Swanton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Swanton's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacey Shinaver, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Coming up, Northview will be playing at home against Southview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Swanton, they will head out on the road to challenge Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
