The Linden Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Demopolis, falling 62-26. While losing is never fun, Linden can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Demopolis is ranked 183rd).
Isaiah Brown and Keilyn Edwards certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Brown scored nine points, while Edwards scored seven points.
Linden's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Demopolis, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Linden will be playing in front of their home fans against Marengo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marengo is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Demopolis won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hatch at 5:00 p.m. on December 9th. Hatch has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
