Sergio De La Cruz now has a new season-high in assists thanks to his big game on Friday. Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning had no answer to De La Cruz as he shot 7-for-11 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine assists. We rated that as his best performance of the season, edging out his previous best set back in January.
De La Cruz and Encina Prep will face off against Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Highlands will enter the matchup having just beaten Vacaville Christian, so Encina Prep will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
