The Carson Colts will challenge the Bell Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Carson 4, Bell 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bell will be up against a hot Carson team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Colts put the hurt on Narbonne with a sharp 12-2 victory on Wednesday. With that win, the Colts brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Joziah Agredano made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Carson is undefeated when Agredano posts two or more stolen bases, but 11-13 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Juno Carillo, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Carson's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-13 when he doesn't). Kris Sinclair was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Carson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Bell narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Legacy 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.
Manuel Pasillas looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Nomar Solis was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Jesse Anguiano, who earned one RBI and two runs.
Carson's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-13. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Bell, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
Carson was able to grind out a solid win over Bell in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 5-1. Do the Colts have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
