The Hope Blue Wave can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 38-22 win over Times Squared Academy. The victory was just what Hope needed coming off of a 62-28 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Sa-moni McKay, who scored 24 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Hope's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eridania Mendoza, who scored six points.
Hope now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Times Squared Academy, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hope will take on Providence Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Providence Country Day is ranked 39th, while Hope is ranked 26th). As for Times Squared Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Burrillville at 6:00 p.m.
