Arden Walsh and Kaylen Edora made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Walsh didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, Edora pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, Walsh gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. At the plate, Walsh scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Edora scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Francesca Moralejo was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Abunda, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory now has a winning record of 2-1. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
