After two games on the road, Twin Valley is heading back home. They will take on the Mill River Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
After soaring to a 31-point win in their last game, Twin Valley came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of Rivendell Academy by a score of 57-54.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Noah Dornburgh, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Brown, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 assists.
Meanwhile, Mill River came up short against West Rutland on Friday and fell 65-52.
Twin Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Mill River, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Twin Valley took their victory against Mill River when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 56-35. Does Twin Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mill River turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
