The Cambria Heights Highlanders will head out on the road to square off against the Conemaugh Township Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cambria Heights' defense has only allowed 10.6 points per game this season, so Conemaugh Township's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Cambria Heights is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Portage: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Highlanders blew the Mustangs out of the water with a 52-6 final score. The Highlanders have beaten the Mustangs the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

A big part of Cambria Heights' win came down to the chemistry between Nolan Clawson and his top target Brayden DeArmitt. Clawson rushed for 62 yards and one score on only six carries while DeArmitt gained 127 total yards and two touchdowns. DeArmitt didn't just play on offense: he also made four total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defended one pass. Dawson Warner also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Cambria Heights' run defense was locked in: Portage could only muster 1.7 yards per carry. While one picked up at least four total tackles, DeArmitt stood above the rest. He rushed for 85 yards and one TD, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and one score. Cambria Heights didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.8.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Conemaugh Township, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 6-0 W over Penns Manor on Friday. The six-point effort marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Conemaugh Township found their leader in sophomore Greyson Studer, who rushed for 119 yards and one touchdown. Those 119 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Studer.
Cambria Heights' victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Conemaugh Township, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Everything came up roses for Cambria Heights against Conemaugh Township in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 43-6 win. In that game, the Highlanders amassed a halftime lead of 37-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
