The Junction City Dragons will face off against the Glen Rose Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Junction City sitting on six straight wins and Glen Rose on ten.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Junction City had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Walnut Ridge by a score of 63-50. Yes, you read that score correctly, and yes, they were playing football.
Dominique Grimes was on fire: he rushed for 307 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 74 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Montra Hankton, who rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, Glen Rose put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Perryville, posting a 37-0 victory on the road.
Junction City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Glen Rose, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
