The Sandpoint Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 67-58 victory over Moscow. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Karlie Banks, who scored 37 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brecken Mire, who scored 12 points.
Sandpoint's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Moscow, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Sandpoint will head out on the road to take on Lakeland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Sandpoint is ranked eighth). Moscow won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bonners Ferry at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. Bonners Ferry is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
