Basketball Recap: Lebanon Skates Past Lavergne with Ease

Lebanon won the last time they faced LaVergne and things went their way on Friday too. The Lebanon Blue Devils simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the LaVergne Wolverines 61-25. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Lebanon to victory were Tiara Spencer and Tra'Maria Neal. Spencer went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points, while Neal posted 11 points. That's the most points Neal has posted since back in November of 2024. Kiah Seay also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Lebanon was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Lebanon pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points per game. As for LaVergne, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Lebanon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-28 victory against Wayne County on the 18th. As for LaVergne, they will be playing at home against Cookeville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cookeville has seven straight wins, LaVergne has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
