The Buffalo Grove Bison will head out on the road to take on the Conant Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Buffalo Grove was beaten by the Lions 66-32. Buffalo Grove was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.
Meanwhile, Conant ended up a good deal behind the Saxons on Wednesday and lost 59-40. While losing is never fun, Conant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Saxons are ranked 39th).
Buffalo Grove's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Conant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
Buffalo Grove came up short against the Cougars in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 56-49. Can Buffalo Grove avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
