Gavi Lappen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Beachwood is 6-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Lappen was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
