Elkhorn South's loss came despite strong showings from Aidan Skradis and Owen Musil. Skradis scored 22 points along with 5 rebounds, while Musil scored 16 points. Skradis scored a full 40.7% of Elkhorn South's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Pius X back to even at 1-1. As for Elkhorn South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Pius X will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue West at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Elkhorn South, they will head out on the road to face off against Papillion-LaVista at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Papillion-LaVista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday.
