The Christian Community Warriors waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They put the hurt on First Baptist Christian with a sharp 37-16 win. Christian Community has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 21 points or more this season.
Christian Community had a senior duo take command as Seth Roberts dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds and Grant Doeringer scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Davison, who scored six points.
Christian Community's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. As for First Baptist Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-14.
Christian Community will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Horizon Science Academy at 7:30 p.m. As for First Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Reimer Road Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
