The third road match was the charm for GRACE Christian, as they earned their first road win of the season. They blew past Thales Academy Apex 78-40 on the road. GRACE Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by 38 points or more this season.
Michael Phillips II went supernova for GRACE Christian, going 8 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 0 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Phillips II has scored at least 25% of GRACE Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Steven McLeod, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, St. David's pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of New Life Camp. St. David's has not had much luck with New Life Camp recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Their wins bumped GRACE Christian to 5-3 and Thales Academy Apex to 4-5.
Everything came up roses for GRACE Christian against St. David's in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 68-35 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for GRACE Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
