Tolleson is a perfect 9-0 against West Point since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wolverines will take on the Dragons at 3:45 p.m. Tolleson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
On Friday, Tolleson got the win against Mesa by a conclusive 14-1. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
ISSAK VALDEZ was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. VALDEZ was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double. He has become a key player for Tolleson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 9-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, JOSE CORRALES was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Tolleson's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-11 when he doesn't). ANTHONY OROZCO was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Tolleson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Apollo hit West Point with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Dragons lost 10-0 to the Hawks. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Point saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Lopez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
West Point's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Tolleson, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
