The Trinity Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell to Covenant 38-32.
Covenant was led to victory by Dobson Beaird and Josh Hook. Beaird scored eight points along with eight rebounds, while Hook scored ten points. Beaird is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Trinity Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Covenant, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
The Eagles will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Covenant won't have much time to rest: their next game is against DasCHE at 1:45 p.m. on December 16th. DasCHE is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
