The Taft Raiders will challenge the Stevens Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Taft has four straight wins, Stevens has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Taft's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Holmes 7-0. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.
Miguel Gomez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Taft got a big performance out of Eduardo Toral, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Toral a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Parks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Stevens couldn't beat San Marcos on Saturday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Falcons took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rattlers.
Stevens saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Diaz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Jordan Vargas was another, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Stevens' loss dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Taft, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Stevens' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Taft hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. It's a different story for Stevens, though, as they've only averaged .244. Will they be able to contain Taft's hitters?
Taft came up short against Stevens in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, falling 8-4. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
