The Borger Bulldogs lost against the West Plains Wolves back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Borger took a serious blow against West Plains, falling 49-3. Borger was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
It was another big night for JORDI HERNANDEZ, who rushed for 86 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. HERNANDEZ hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games. Another player making a difference was BRODY TUPIN, who rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown.
Borger has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for West Plains, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Borger will square off against Monahans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Monahans knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matchups -- so hopefully Borger likes a good challenge. As for West Plains, they will square off against Clint at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clint will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 897th, while West Plains is ranked 98th).
