Llano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 75-70 heartbreaker at the hands of the Caldwell Hornets. One positive for the Yellowjackets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Llano lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Konrad Zwicke, who posted 16 points. Carl Schutte was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Llano's loss dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Caldwell, they moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Llano will face off against Bandera at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Caldwell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Troy at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
