After a string of three wins, Metamora's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Limestone Rockets by a score of 2-1. While the Redbirds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rockets 25-13 in the first set.

Metamora actually scored more points across those three sets (64-63), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Metamora's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Limestone, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Metamora didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against East Peoria on the 25th. As for Limestone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Pekin on the 25th.
