The Meadow Bridge Wildcats waltzed into their match Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 51-26 margin over Montcalm. The result was nothing new for Meadow Bridge, who have now won three matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.
Leading Meadow Bridge to victory were Lily Hayes and Keirston Rozell. Hayes scored ten points along with seven steals, while Rozell scored 18 points. The game was Hayes' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Riley Roberts, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meadow Bridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. As for Montcalm, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Greater Beckley Christian the next time they take the court. Meadow Bridge will head out to face Greater Beckley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Montcalm will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
