Duxbury extended the longest winning streak in Patriot - Keenan this week by beating Hingham, 14-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Dragons.
Whitman-Hanson Regional took down Silver Lake Regional 28-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Duxbury's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Sean McCarthy threw for 64 and one touchdown and Wes Quinzani had 45 yards receiving. On the ground McCarthy chipped in 60 yards. Joe Guilfoile helped Duxbury's passing attack out by catching two balls for 18 yards.
The Panthers' Thomas Sapienza and Dondre James have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sapienza has thrown for 832 yards this season, while James, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 22 catches for 515 yards. Dave Maimaron's team's Jon Hurvitz leads the league in rushing yards with 752.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Dragons take on the Lakers. Duxbury is currently in first, while Silver Lake Regional is in fifth.
Quincy led Patriot - Keenan in scoring this week after putting up 34 points on Scituate.
