On Wednesday, the Silverado Skyhawks faced the Arbor View Aggies in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Silverado fell 77-66 to Arbor View. Silverado's defeat continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arbor View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pharaoh Compton, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and six blocks. Compton is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 12 games he's played. DeMarion Yap was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Silverado's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Arbor View, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Silverado will look to defend their home court on Monday against Spring Valley at 6:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Alijah Adem and Cyril Franklin. As for Arbor View, they will head out on the road to face off against Desert Pines at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Desert Pines will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Arbor View is ranked fourth).
