Carrollton is 2-8 against Jersey since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Hawks will face off against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Carrollton is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Tuesday, Carrollton earned a 9-6 victory over Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia.

Lauren Flowers made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Flowers was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hannah Uhles, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Vanna Holmes, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Jersey unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Jersey saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Drainer, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Carrollton pushed their record up to 30-0 with the win, which was their 36th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Jersey, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12-1.
Jersey's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Carrollton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .534. It's a different story for Jersey, though, as they've only averaged .323. Will they be able to contain Carrollton's hitters?
Carrollton was able to grind out a solid win over Jersey in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
