After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Pendleton County, Tygarts Valley was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They took down the Richwood Lumberjacks 29-12. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Tygarts Valley can attribute much of their success to  Jacob Wamsley, who rushed for 34 yards and a pair of  TDs.

 Tygarts Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over.  Elijah Stanley led the group effort, picking up two of those  interceptions all by himself.
Tygarts Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Richwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
 Looking ahead, Tygarts Valley will head out to  challenge East Hardy  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 10th. As for Richwood, they will look to defend their home field  on  the 10th against Clay-Battelle  at 7:30  p.m. The Cee-Bees' defense has only allowed 13.5  points per game  this season, so the Lumberjacks' offense will have their work cut out for them.
