Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jones). They came out on top against Circle Christian by a score of 12-8 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Kenovin Saintfleur was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Josiah Wiggins was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Jones always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Jones' win ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Edgewater, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
