Even though the Fayette Falcons have not done well against the Marceline Tigers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Everything went Fayette's way against Marceline as Fayette made off with a 57-35 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fayette.
Fayette found their leader in underclassman Browyn Eubanks, who scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds. Addy Gibbs was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 3 steals.
Fayette's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Marceline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayette will square off against New Franklin at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marceline, they will head out on the road to face off against Trenton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
